Welcome to SimDark!

SimDark is a virtual Game Master that's compatible with the Shadowdark roleplaying game.

Getting Started

• This is an extremely early test version of SimDark and many features are probably missing or broken.
• SimDark is only a Game Master simulation and not a standalone game.
• The Game Master knows the rules but you as the player should be familiar with the rules in the Player Quickstart guide.
• Get a copy of the Shadowdark Core Rulebook or Quickstart Guide.

Features

• SimDark will run a single one-shot dungeon crawl.
• For this test, only 1 dungeon is available.
• The game session only persists while the browser is on the site (no saving).
• No account is required.
• For now, all crawlers are randomly generated but can be edited.

How to Play

• Head over to the Play page to begin.
• Use natural language to describe your actions and the Game Master will act accordingly.
• You should describe your actions for the current crawler's turn.
• Because this is not a videogame, it's up to the player to follow the rules and have fun.
• The Game Master uses AI for language processing and can make silly mistakes. Use the Undo button on their responses as needed.
